I grew up in the arts. My father was a painter and an art director. I began college as a biochemistry major but, after taking an art history course, I switched to fine arts.
I studied enameling under Olli Valanne at the University of Kansas and graduated with a BFA in jewelry and metalsmithing. Each year I take a course in a new technique in order to expand my skills and creative opportunities.
My pieces are a reflection of my path with God, and I hope my work helps others to see the beauty of nature that he has created.
I see my work as a study of life and spirit, form and color, achieved through a combination of traditional metalsmithing and enameling techniques, with an emphasis on cloisonne and basse-taille enameling.
